MSI GUS II is a concept introduced at CES 2012 that helps all who wish to extend laptops graphics capabilities. The device is an external video card that can be connected by Thunderbolt.

MSI GUS II is a device based on a new concept that was presented at CES 2012. Basically it's an external video card that can be connected via Thunderbolt technology. May contain any graphics card from AMD or Nvidia as long as it does not need more than 150W power supply and as long as the size fits. It seems that the data will support up to 10Gbps, but above all, the device needs driver support from AMD, Nvidia and Apple. According to tests made, the luckiest are the users of portable Windows MSI GUS II device operating smoothly.

However, if things go the way you want, it seems that the device can be used in Windows. Most of the MSI have found a temporary solution to modify the Windows operating system to make believe that video card is connected via PCI Express. The notebook can turn into a real desktop, a to gaming station or work depends fiesta, what video card you choose for him.
At CES 2012 demonstration was made with an Apple MacBook Pro, as you can see on video. MSI GUS II will be available in the second half, but the price still remains questionable.
